An expansion of DACA, called DAPA (Deferred Action for Parents of Americans) was struck down by the 5th Circuit Court of Appeals.

US Supreme Court affirmed striking of DAPA in a per curiam opinion on June 23, 2016.

A federal judge on again declared the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) immigration program unlawful, though he refrained from ordering officials to terminate deportation protections and work permits for 580,000 immigrant "Dreamers."
