Manufactured and Mobile Homes: Ohio Laws: Utilities

Introduction

Manufactured home parks are not restricted to using public utilities to provide basic services to their residents. A park has the choice to allow public utility companies to provide service to the individual residents or to provide the utilities itself. While parks are subject to some restrictions due to the landlord/tenant law, parks are not prohibited from owning a utility system. If the park does allow a public utility to provide services to residents, the park operator, not the residents, is considered the consumer, not the residents.
