Transportation services operated by private institutions of higher education are subject to the provisions of 49 CFR Part 37 governing private entities not primarily engaged in the business of transporting people.
Transportation systems operated by public institutions of higher education are subject to the provisions 49 CFR Part 37 governing public entities. If a public institution of higher education operates a fixed route system, the requirements of this part governing commuter bus service apply to that system.
Opportunities for Ohioans with Disabilities (OOD) is the State of Ohio agency which offers Ohio College2Careers at 17 colleges and universities in Ohio to ensure students with disabilities have the support they need to complete their degree and/or credential, earn higher wages, and meet the demands of tomorrow’s labor market. These counselors are located in the disability and/or career services offices at each school to assist students with disabilities with additional supports:
W3C Web Accessibility Initiative. The statutes and regulations requiring colleges and universities to meet accessibility standards do not actually define the technical criteria by which compliance is
measured. Absent legally mandated technical criteria, the OCR applies the WCAG 2.0 AA criteria as the standard for determining whether the institution complies.
