Medicare Law: Medicare Part B

Introduction

Medicare Part B covers medically necessary doctor's visits, preventative care, durable medical equipment, hospital outpatient services, lab tests, x-rays, mental health care, some home health and ambulance services.

It is a federal government program. You can use any provider who accepts Medicare. 

It is paid for by the monthly premiums and by the Supplementary Medical Insurance Trust Fund.
