Medicaid Law: Federal and Ohio: Introduction

Medicaid is a joint federal and state program that reimburses doctors and hospitals when they with treat people with limited income and resources. Medicaid also offers benefits not normally covered by Medicare, like nursing home care and personal care services. Medicaid is sometimes called an "entitlement" program because the amount of money available for Medicaid is not capped by the Federal government. This guide is focused on federal and Ohio Medicaid laws.
