No internet access to social security numbers by public agencies. Social security numbers, and other personal information are also exempt from public records law.

The Security Breach Notification Act requires sellers to notify consumers if a security breach puts their personal information at risk for identity theft or other fraud.

Identity fraud

Any hearing-impaired person may apply to the registrar of motor vehicles for an identification card identifying the person as hearing-impaired

The registrar of motor vehicles, and any employee or contractor of the bureau of motor vehicles, shall not knowingly disclose or otherwise make available to any person or entity any personal information about an individual that the bureau obtained in connection with a motor vehicle record.

Issuance of identification card or temporary identification card for non-drivers or drivers whose licenses have been suspended or cancelled.

Identification card contents

Requires photo ID in order to vote. Provides for obtaining free photo ID at the BMV. Provides that "noncitizen" will be now be printed on driver's licenses and state ID's if the applicant cannot prove they are a citizen.
