A spouse who has not relinquished it shall be endowed of an estate for life in one third of the real property of which the consort was seized as an estate of inheritance at any time during the marriage. Such dower interest shall terminate upon the death of the consort except when the spouse did not relinquish his/her dower rights when property was transferred.

Court may order estate released from administration if assets are worth less than $35,000 or less than $100,000 and all of the assets go to the spouse.

If the value of the assets of the decedent's estate does not exceed the lesser of $5,000 or the amount of the decedent's funeral and burial expenses, plus the statutory allowance for surviving spouse and minor children under Sec. 2106.13, then summary release of administration may be applied for from the Probate Court.
