Special Counsel Robert Mueller's investigation into Russian interference in the 2016 election and related crimes is a good example of a white collar crime investigation. Defendants in the Mueller investigation were charged with conspiracy, financial fraud, Foreign Agent Registration violations, identity theft, money laundering, obstruction of justice and tax crimes.
The Mueller Investigation was officially closed on March 22, 2019, with no indictment of President Trump.
