Interstate Compact for Placement of Children
A prospective adoptive parent may not take a child from the state where the child resides back to the adoptive parent's home state without the approval of the Interstate Compact for Placement of Children (ICPC) Administrator in both states.

Administrators of the Interstate Compact on the Placement of Children (AAICPC) formed a joint Work Group. This booklet of best practices is the result.
