Collective bargaining sessions are generally private and are not subject to the Sunshine Act. However, SERB proceedings are public records.

School employees have the right to strike provided the employee organization has given a ten-day prior written notice of the date and time of the action, and that the strike is for full, consecutive work days and the beginning date of the strike is at least ten work days after the ending date of the most recent prior strike involving the same bargaining unit
