US Dist Ct in Ohio said that policy that prohibits students from misgendering trans students is ok. This has been appealed to the Sixth Cir. Court of Appeals.
Tenn. v. US Dept. of Ed.
US Dist Court case filed 8/30/21 that challenges the U.S. Department of Education’s decision in June that discrimination based on sexual orientation or gender identity violates Title IX, which bans federal funding to education programs practicing sex-based discrimination.
The suit also contests guidance from the chair of the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission that employers can’t discriminate against gay or transgender people under the Civil Rights Act of 1964.

HB 8 (2023)
"Parents Bill of Rights" would require trans students to be outed to their parents. Would also give parents veto over "sexuality content" in school curriculum.
HB 68 (2023)
Prohibits gender affirming care for minors, requires schools, state institutions of higher education, and private colleges to designate separate single-sex teams and sports for each sex.
HB 183 (2023)
would require K-12 schools and colleges to mandate that students could only use the bathroom or locker room that matches their sex assigned at birth.
HB 616 (2023)
Proposed legislation is Ohio's version of Florida's "Don't Say Gay" bill
