Ohio School Law: Collective Bargaining

Collective bargaining sessions are generally private and are not subject to the Sunshine Act. However, SERB proceedings are public records.

Public Employees' Collective Bargaining. Defines unfair labor practices. School employees have the right to strike provided the employee organization has given a ten-day prior written notice of the date and time of the action, and that the strike is for full, consecutive work days and the beginning date of the strike is at least ten work days after the ending date of the most recent prior strike involving the same bargaining unit

A ban on diversity and inclusion efforts as well as a ban on labor strikes by faculty and staff.

State Employment Relations Board

is responsible for implementing and administering the Public Employees' Collective Bargaining Act.
